Andrea Innocent
About Andrea Innocent
If Andrea Innocent were a bird, she would sound like Elmo mixed by Cornelius. She is a self-confesssed nipponophile, as evidenced by her work, which is influenced by the traditions of ukiyo-e, manga, steampunk and Shin Hanga. She has an eclectic background, working in fashion design, textile design, animation and character design. When she was 18 months old she was sunburnt so badly she had to spend a night in hospital, although she can’t remember this incident. Her favourite pencil is a Graphgear 1000 by Pental. Her work has appeared in Nylon Magazine, the Portland Mercury, and Melbourne fashion magazine A Cloth Covered Button.
