Part of
Amanda Upton’s illustrations and paintings have been published in magazines and journals worldwide. Her work has been included in Luerzers Archive Magazine’s collection of 200 of the worlds best illustrators & she was a Walkley Award finalist in 2000. She has had many group exhibitions and solo shows of her illustrations and paintings and her work is included in various regional gallery collections. She began her career as a cadet illustrator from the age of 18 for The Courier Mail and then The Sydney Morning Herald where her work was published regularly for over 2 decades. She continues to paint and illustrate and works from her home studio in Austinmer on the NSW South Coast of Australia.

What's your earliest drawing memory?
I was given pencils and pens from a very early age. I’m from a family of artists so drawing and painting were encouraged.
