When Clemenger wanted to replicate the look and feel of a Napoleon painting, we knew exactly who to call: Tom Simpson. Even with full knowledge of his greatness, we were still astounded by what Tom ended up crafting with his digital paint brush. This image was composed for a campaign that celebrated the role Mercedes Benz played in the mounting of the National Gallery of Victoria’s ‘Napoleon: Revolution to Empire’ exhibition. You see, as a Principal Partner of the exhibition, Mercedes Benz helped fund Napoleon’s journey to our shores. Lucky guy – looks like he managed to snag a car too.
