The Hatch's very own Caitlin Shearer has just unveiled her latest project, a collaboration with fashion designer Karla Špetić. Caitlin created a custom print for Karla's AW10 range Dreamer featuring a series of languid bedroom girls, inspired by a love of Sofia Coppola films and based on one of Caitlin's past dreamy lady illustrations, Violet. This design was then printed onto silk and now adorns a cropped blazer, gathered mini-skirt, and cut-out dress in the collection.

webuyyourkids for XXXX http://jackywinter.com:80/peter-peter/post/webuyyourkids-for-xxxx/

XXXX, typically the preferred beer of tinnie-swilling Queensland bogans in stubby shorts, V8 supercar partner, and patron of the XXXX angels, recently underwent a makeover to reposition itself in favour of the female sort and self-respecting individuals everywhere, introducing the much more palatable Summer Bright Ale. webuyyourkids worked with Momentum Worldwide to create the illustrations for coasters, bar runners, bunting and posters in the beer campaign.

Here's some thought-provoking illustration by The Hatch artist Mel Stringer, working with Saatchi and Saatchi for Sony's charitable arm, the You Can Foundation. Nokia bricks of the world unite, get recycled and you could raise money to build a specialised youth cancer centre. We hope you're reaching down the back of the couch for your old 3210 as you read...

Travis Price - Mister Mista http://jackywinter.com:80/peter-peter/post/travis-price-mister-mista/

Travis Price makes a living creating commissioned works for clothing labels in Australia and beyond. He has a bit of a thing for t-shirts. And so it was only natural that when he and wife Renee started their brood, they started to think about making tees for the pint-sized set. Mister Mista is the end product – limited edition t-shirts for young masters.

Each t-shirt has its own character with a back story: This is Abe the Abominable Snowman. He likes hiding in ice creams, ear wax, and creating chalets out of cotton buds.

Matt Huynh for Fisher & Paykel http://jackywinter.com:80/peter-peter/post/matt-huynh-for-fisher-paykel/

A dishwasher like an elephant, an oven like a human eyelid, a washing machine like a frog... Sounds like teenage mutant ninja turtles to us. But Matt Huynh turned sci fi into modern appliance solutions with these beautiful technical drawings for Fisher & Paykel.

Lachlan Conn for visitlondon.com http://jackywinter.com:80/peter-peter/post/lachlan-conn-for-visitlondon-com/

It's enough to make you wish you were on the other side of the world, freezing your butt off in London. And that was kind of the point – Jacky Winter's Lachlan Conn created six brightly-coloured illustrations of London sights and experiences to make a number of visitlondon.com itineraries that little bit more enticing. This grass green number is all about sightseeing.

Habicht illustrates the evolution of the Australian self-image by contrasting drovers on the left with the modern wine-swilling and coffee-drinking set on the right.

Dalton Paper recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, commissioning The Hatch artist Fleur Harris to illustrate a calendar marking the occasion. Each page is a colourful reminiscence of Dalton days gone by. Like the time hard-working storks did door-to-door deliveries of Dalton paper. Those were some happy times.
