About Good Wives & Warriors
Good Wives and Warriors is a creative partnership between Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell, who met while studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Rebecca means ‘good wife’ and Louise means ‘warrior’, and together they create weird and wonderful illustrations and sprawling wall paintings.
In the last couple of years, the duo has skipped around the world doing wall paintings in Europe, the US and South America, usually fueled by strange shared obsessions and regular tea breaks. They are particularly influenced by scientific imagery, complex natural structures, patterns and the surreal.
Recent clients include Swatch, MTV and Adidas and they have been featured in IdN and Taschen’s Illustration Now. Currently based in Melbourne and London, they like to use 0.1 fine liners and watch costume dramas.
