If you could resurrect one no longer living person to have lunch with, knowing you will have to return them to the grave right after coffee, who would it be?

William Steig, especially if he brought along his orgone energy accumulator.

Preferred method of dealing with an encounter with an acquaintance whose name you can’t remember.

Socially awkward mumbling.

Why don’t you flip the tortoise over, Leon?

I’m assuming this is a Gen Y reference which I am too ancient to interpret. But I’ll try – Catch you on the flipside, dudemeister?

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

He would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Favourite client so far?

My friend Dave who wanted a drawing of a coffee cup for a tattoo.

Favourite imaginary client?

Simplicissimus

How does your mother describe your profession?

A heartbreaking work of staggering genius.

Coffee or tea?

Earl Grey

What’s your earliest drawing memory?

Copying Punch cartoons

How do you prefer to spend your mornings?

I’m lazy, so ideally I’d like to be lying in bed reading a book. But thankfully there are children (and a couple of sheep and a few chooks and ducks) that require me to get up and tackle the day. It usually begins with feedings.
