Pagu Studio

Rob Smith and Emma Walker are Creative Directors and Partners of Pagu Studio, an animation and illustration studio based in Bristol specialising in creative, short-form, 2D content for brands, businesses and NGOs around the world. The pair met while studying animation at Ravensbourne University, where they made some pretty weird stop-motion animations, and decided to team up as a studio to collaborate on projects that matter to them.

Pagu Studio has collaborated with The Guardian Labs on animation projects for Vodafone and created a tooth character design for oral hygiene treatment Cordosyl, and created a series of Christmas GIFS as a way of saying thanks to NHS workers during lockdown.

Rob and Emma thrive in collaborative creative environments, often working with other teams of talented people. Using relatable characters, bold colours and a playful outlook Pagu Studio seeks to solve problems creatively and thoughtfully with memorable visuals, creating meaningful, intelligent animations and illustrations.
