Janelle Barone
Bio
Janelle Barone makes digital art for editorial and commercial clients, taking inspiration from cinematography, '80s nostalgia and technology. She studied Visual Communication at Monash University, which cemented a belief that she would rather spend her time drawing than typesetting.
Adept at bringing imaginative worlds to life, Janelle was recently briefed by The Lion's Share Fund – a wildlife conservation organisation – to imagine and create a world without animals. A recent portrait of Kevin Parker appeared in Rolling Stone, and Janelle recently created an image for The Washington Post Magazine about the effects of climate change on Gen Z.
Janelle’s client list includes the New York Times, Adobe, Metro Tunnel Project, Nature Magazine, The Big Issue, and the AUS Childhood Fund.
